Limonade & koolaid.

Stumbled upon this dress. It lazily addresses curves in silky sweetness + hides a tummy full of pasta (mMmm linguine alla vongole)...so it is pretty much perfect. Here in lovely Palm Springs for business really, a Tuesday meeting but made a long weekend of it with my loves. Lazy cookouts, afternoon cocktails and kindle poolside action. Reading A Song of Ice and Fire-so good! (so good that I'm trying not to ignore everyone!!). The perfect escape. Summer feelings everywhere I go. Happy Holiday!

Science Centers & Fish Bowls.

Spent most of this week indoors for all the good'ol boring paperwork side of having a business. Crunching numbers all day is right up there with going to the dentist, jogging and sugar-free things. Blah. The highlight of the week was today where I  broke free of my desk and sat happily painting in the Arizona Science Center as their artist in residence for Van Gogh Alive, the Experience. It was genuinely good fun+also fishbowl like. The staff, otherwise known as one of the nicest group of people ever were so lovely to work with. I love people who know their ish-so prepared! Finishing the last painting in a series I'll be unveiling in Philadelphia at the end of this month so i'll be ditching the heels for kicks this week. Lots of ladder climbing when dealing with a 7ft x 12ft canvas. Cheers!

Arizona Coyotes

Landed back in the Arizona desert just in time for Mother's Day. My Mum is quite literally my best friend so it was pretty lovely just to be back giggling with her + spoiling her for the day. Preparing for my first sit-in as the Arizona Science Center's artist in residence for Van Gogh Alive, come later this week ...(come say Hi!). Should be good fun as I get to work + chat with visitors in my cute nook. Well it's back under the covers for me. Getting over the worst of colds (thanks BF!) so it is back to sipping soup, cuddling with Sir Winston and finishing several ink pieces. x

Six hours of flying + a brief detour to Denver + Philly (photos to come) and I'm here in Delaware for my exhibit at The Grand Wilmington Gallery. (Click Here for Interview). The art walk was lovely with a sweet turnout. It was also a nice surprise to meet a few readers among the art crowd. Cheers to- Liz, Carissa, Alexa, Suzy and Kirsten-who all had me laughing to the point of being Shhhh'd at. More than a bit sleep deprived yet grateful for the simplest of things, like having my Mum along (you're amazing) and the invention of GPS (Recalculating…make a U-turn….Recalculating). With six trips coming up over the next six weeks I am catching power naps where ever I can. Speaking of, off to catch some shut eye before heading to the airport. Hoping to catch up on emails soon via the plane. Hope you are lovely!

Earthquakes & Roses.

My sister would be so proud of this black and white fit as even growing up she would dress immaculately in the perfect shades of beige+crisp whites. It is rare for me to wear such a colorless outfit, which I fancy tributing to my getting over being a bit ill recently. I suppose we all dress to our moods. I love the cutouts and small surprises like the lace collar of this (DIY project) blouse which the light unfortunately distorts. I fancy thinking of this as my version of business casual. Getting ready to head east this upcoming week to install+promote my upcoming exhibit. Fully feeling that I have one too many things to do in a few days too soon but really that feeling gives way to the love of being on the road again. x

Kiddie Pools & Slip n' Slides.

I've been wearing red so much as of late. Maybe it is my version of the brilliant multi-colored floral trend going about but I love pairing it with an even redder lip+keeping it my version of "simple". I'm usually much more keen on layering but with temperatures rising here already my system is in shock. Wasn't it just winter? 90 degrees? Reeeally?!A few snaps taken while trying to keep cool+ traveling through the desert with my love. We are already thinking kiddie pools+slip'n slides+ margaritas this weekend. Who says paradise doesn't come everyday? Hello Summer. x

All Saints, love windy days.

Spent the full week catching up with my Big Sis who came in from London to surprise me. She's my perfect partner in crime-love having her about. I cannot wait to head back overseas this summer to visit her+one of my best-friends in Florence. I miss everything about living there. Travel daydreams. It is back to another crazy work week as I have two paintings to fully finish before I head east. Feeling as if I need an extra set of hands-cheers to keep on keepin' on. x

A bit of red lace for the Holiday weekend. This is about as restraint as I get when it comes to color play. Only one color?... Well it will at least be a loud one. Stop sign, fire engine, roses are red loud. I've been working steadily trying to get a leg up on my upcoming exhibit in Delaware. Pretty excited to head east soon. Finishing three pieces while being mind numbingly entranced by Game of Thrones. Addicted in a bad stay up all night to watch the next bit kind of way. x
